TGN Pro Tour 08: Louisville vs. Houston

Gaming the way it is meant to be...

Other Competitive Gaming Leagues use a point based circuit system to determine the ranks of top teams (and/or players), which is fine for those who can afford traveling, lodging and all of the other related expenses. The Gaming Nation, however, has a different approach. As we tour the nation, the top 5 teams from each event will form the "given regions" TGN Pro Team. Each Pro Team must compete in the TGN's Online Arena against other similarlly ranked Pro Teams from across the nation at least once every 6 weeks. Teams who do not compete online will lose "Pro" status and will be replaced by the next highest ranking team.

For Example:

Chicago vs. Houston (Team names TBD by top teams)

1st Place Chicago vs. 1st Place Houston = Chicago Wins

2nd Place Chicago vs 2nd Place Houston = Houston Wins

3rd Place Chicago vs 3rd Place Houston = Houston Wins

4th Place Chicago vs 4th Place Houston = Chicago Wins

5th Place Chicago vs 5th Place Houston = Houston Wins

So, in this example, Houston wins the match 3-2.

The Gaming Nation, or TGN, Has held 25 events across the nation since December 2005 (12 major events since August 2007)... and were just getting started. With an average 200-500 players attending each event, TGN has played host to over 10,000 gamers and spectators at live events and countless more in online tournaments for prizes ranging from $500 to Live Event sponsorships.

Get Sponsored - Go Pro

The Top 5 players from each event will be placed on the given cities pro teams, for example: Team Louisville will consist of the top 5 teams from the Halo 3 4v4 & 2v2, CoD 4 4v4 & Guitar Hero 3 events. Each of the top 5 teams will face a team from a different City's Pro Team who finished in the same spot. Each match will be best 2 of 3 games. For Example:

Team Louisville vs. Team Atlanta

1st place Louisville vs 1st place Atlanta = L wins

2nd place Louisville vs 2nd place Atlanta = A wins

3rd place Louisville vs 3rd place Atlanta = L wins

4th place Louisville vs 4th place Atlanta = A wins

5th place Louisville vs 5th place Atlanta = A wins

... So, Atlanta wins the match.

There is no money involved in the Pro Team games this year, just rep as TGN searches for Americas top Gaming city
